SPARK, Wyndham council’s innovation hub, wants the community to know its is open for business.

Operating since 2022, SPARK has supported 30 founders and entrepreneurs from 28 start-up businesses to get off the ground.

Member businesses range from software and hardware developers to those specialising in robotics, data analytics, AI, augmented reality, virtual reality and geospatial mapping.

These businesses operate across sectors such as e-commerce, construction, healthcare, renewable energy, cyber security and education.

Unlike working from home or in smaller offices, SPARK members can benefit from shared resources, mentoring and a community that can exchange ideas with each other.

Mayor Mia Shaw said the program helps grow Wyndham’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and drive economic growth.

“SPARK fosters a shared culture of collaboration, nurture and enables innovation to level up new early-stage enterprises, start-ups and businesses,” she said.

“This is a great way to get a feel for the space and the community and see how it can work for you and your business.”

Council encourages members to plan for expansions beyond SPARK into commercial office spaces in order to help support growing businesses in Wyndham.

Members have 24-7 access to a selection of 55 workstations, private offices, meeting rooms and function spaces.

SPARK is open to early-stage businesses, entrepreneurs, and tech start-ups with priority to Wyndham-based enterprises.

It is located at Wyndham City’s Business & Innovation Hub at 600 Sneydes Road in Werribee.
