Hoppers Crossing is set to get a brand new skate park.
Construction of the skate space, which will be located behind the Youth Resource Centre along Derrimut Road, is expected to be completed within the 2017-18 financial year.
Sports development portfolio holder Peter Maynard said the project would create a space for skateboarders, rollerbladers and scooter riders.
“Just as our football and basketball courts allow residents to keep fit and improve their skills, this space will be a valuable asset to the community,” Cr Maynard said.
The park, valued at $260,000, has been funded in the 2017-18 budget. For more information about the project, go to www.wyndham.vic.gov.au
