Get Psych’d for new wellbeing program

Young people aged between 12-15 can now access a new free program aimed at helping residents in the municipality look after their mental wellbeing.

Launched by Wyndham council’s Youth Services, the sessions are designed for two age groups, 12-15-year-olds and 16-25-year olds.

Get Psych’d hopes to develop participants self-awareness by enabling them to identify values and strengths, understand emotions, triggers and develop personal coping strategies.

The program will be broken up into four sessions, identifying strengths and values, emotions, relationships and communication and wellness planning.

Get Psych’d will be held on Tuesdays from 4pm-5.30pm at the Youth Resource Centre.
