The Werribee Ladies for Kids are calling on the community to get involved in their fundraiser and help raise money for life-saving equipment for the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Group member Heather Brett said the group will hosting stalls at multiple locations across the municipality where they will be selling a number of items.
“There’s jumpers, booties, knitted toys, Christmas items, aprons, anything footy that you can imagine, rugs and some dresses, so there’s a lot,” she said.
“Just about everything is handmade.”
Ms Brett said the group had raised more than $45000 to provide the hospital with some of the new technology equipment that the hospital had on a high request list.
“Every cent we receive through our many stalls is spent entirely on these requests. As well as regular stalls at the hospital we also have local stalls,” she said.
“The community donate’s all the stuff [to make the items], and the rest of the community buys it back, and that’s how we make our money [to help support others].
“We thank you the community for your continuing support to help us keep on keeping on.”
The group has been running since about 2013, and will be hosting stalls at Bunnings Hoppers Crossing on November 26 and 27, and at Werribee Plaza near Target from November 28 until December 3.
