For two hours on Tuesday afternoons, community radio co-hosts Brett Hunter and DJ Kitty Kat bring laughs and live interviews to the airwaves.

They host a show on 88.9 WynFM, which is based in Werribee, from 1-3pm.

Their show, which used to be named Ships and Giggles, is now called Brett and Kitty Kat.

Mr Hunter said the show started with a few other co-hosts, including comedian David Chappel and singer Ricky Muscat.

Ms Kat, who is also a DJ, singer and fitness model, started on the show about eight months ago after she met Mr Hunter at a music event.

“We weren’t really sure where we were headed – we just jumped behind the mics to see what happens,” she said.

“It works. He talks and I give him crap – a lot of people say they enjoy our chemistry.

“It’s a funny, light-hearted show to forget about the working week.

“It’s just fun – the two hours fly past, we just be ourselves.”

Mr Hunter said guests interviewed on the show had included NBA player Eric Gordon, Warwick Capper, Anthony Koutoufides and Dr Karl Kruszelnicki.

Mr Hunter, also a comedian, said he and Ms Kat enjoyed interacting with their listeners through Instagram and Snapchat.

“We just love that – we love the videos they send of us of what they do while listening to the show,” he said.
