The frog pond at Westgrove Primary School in Werribee will soon be rejuvenated, thanks to a $2000 grant.

School staff members successfully applied for the grant through the Teachers Initiative Program with Bank First.

Representatives of Bank First visited Werribee earlier this month to present the school’s captains with a cheque.

The frog pond rejuvenation project aims to give Westgrove pupils a niche learning experience through transforming the site from a dried-up area to a sustainable frog pond
oasis.

The initiative also aims to raise awareness of environmental issues such as sustainability and conservation of frog species in the western region of Melbourne.
