Residents are invited to attend the Reclink Australia centre in Werribee to participate in a variety of free programs each Monday, including Tai Chi, Zumba and community gardening.
Communications and events promotions officer Sam Wharton said the services provide an opportunity to bring the community together.
“Simply come on down, introduce yourself and join in, activities usually commence from around 10am and run through until about lunch time,” Mr Wharton said.
“Whatever your age, ability, gender, background or previous experience with these activities, everybody is welcome to join in.”
In the lead-up to the Christmas period, Reclink is also encouraging sporting clubs and organisations to donate any pre-loved bikes or sports equipment to our Werribee Sports Share facility.
“Even after the festive season, Mondays from 10am are also the best time to visit our facility at 11/13 Gerves Street, Werribee to make a donation,” Mr Wharton said.
“We’re also always on the look out for people to volunteer their time by helping us fix bikes which can then be used to distribute to those in need.”
Residents can also pick up a copy of Reclink founder Peter Cullen’s recently published book, ‘Power of a Football’, which features a collection of different stories from former, and present members of Reclink.
