Four times over the limit in Hoppers Crossing

An unlicenced driver was found to be allegedly four times over the alcohol limit following a crash in Hoppers Crossing on Wednesday night.

Police were called to Old Geelong Road about 8.50pm after a car allegedly crashed into a bollard.

There were no injuries.

The driver, a 23-year-old St Albans man, was breath tested at the scene and allegedly returned a reading of .227.

The man has been charged in relation to drink driving and unlicenced driving.

He will appear at Werribee Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
