Passionate Western Bulldogs supporter Rocco Maluccio is spreading the red, white and blue message in the lead-up to the grand final.

Mr Maluccio, who is managing director of Roc Construction in Werribee, has erected hoarding that features his team’s colours at multiple building sites.

Apart from some local construction sites – including this one in Church Street, Werribee – the hoarding features at a Brunswick location, which just happens to be across the road from where some Demons supporters live.

Mr Maluccio said he went for Collngwood until around the age of two or three.

However, upon asking his uncle – a Bulldogs supporter – if he could attend a football game, his uncle said he had to barrack for the Doggies.

A young Mr Maluccio converted teams on the spot and he has not looked back since.

Nowadays, along with his father, brother and nephew, Mr Maluccio is a Bulldogs member and attends most games.

His two children, aged three and one, are also Bulldogs supporters.

“Just to be honest, what I like about the club is the tough story, what they’ve had to live through and the history of the Western Bulldogs from 1954 through to the 2016 premiership,” Mr Maluccio said.

“My brother has met people in the club and they all seem like nice, genuine people.”

Mr Maluccio said that he has received plenty of positive reactions to the Bulldogs-themed hoarding.

“I’ve got quite a few text messages to be honest, quite a few Instagram likes and a blogger has posted a photo,” he said.

His three year-old also likes walking past the Werribee sites and pointing out “Daddy’s work”.
