IN FOCUS: Showroom up and running

Skill, attention to detail, quality craftsmanship and a full in-house experience sets Victorian Fireplaces apart.

This is what countless happy customers say about husband-and-wife team Chris and Samantha’s brand new showroom in Hoppers Crossing, following 14 years in the business.

“When you buy your fireplace from us, our fully qualified, registered and licensed plumbers can install it for you,” Chris says.

“These plumbers are valued employees who care about the work they do. They meet the high standards expected at Victorian Fireplaces, where safety, quality and professionalism are the core values. When we install your fireplace, you can be confident it’s a job well done.”

If you are interested in installing a fireplace in your house this winter, Chris says the process is smooth with a normally quick turn-around time.

“With advances in technology, there is a fireplace to suit almost any situation,” he says.

“You do not need an existing chimney or external wall to have a fireplace installed – although these can certainly accommodate fireplaces very well.

“We can start from scratch and build a new wall for a fireplace. Double sided fireplaces can be installed in an internal wall, providing heat for two rooms at once.

“We have electric fires that are made to sit on an existing wall – all you need is a power point.

“There is a beautiful suspended bioethanol fire that doesn’t use a flue or electricity so it can go anywhere.

“We have fireplaces to suit any style of home. We have a large selection of fires on display that would suit a modern, minimalist look, and a selection of mantels and cast iron fascias that can give your fireplace a completely different look, from Hamptons through to Federation.”

Victorian Fireplaces sell gas, wood, bioethanol and electric fires for indoor and outdoor applications and Chris and his team are committed to servicing most brands of gas log fireplaces.

Chris started his career in high-rise construction working as a plumber in 2000. As his partner in life and business Samantha explains it, Chris started picking up extra work for Jetmaster servicing gas fireplaces in 2003 and it grew from there.

“So today, after 18 months of planning, hard work and a pretty significant financial investment, the showroom is now up and running and we couldn’t be happier,” Samantha says.

“Chris prides himself on professionalism, quality work (not quantity) and punctuality. He genuinely cares about his customers and has their best interests at heart.”
