IN FOCUS: Plug into some super deals and save

Hoppers Crossing residents have been tapping into the world of savings and service provided by Save on Appliances on Old Geelong Road.

The family-owned business, operating in Melbourne’s west for the past 40 years, is transforming the white goods industry, appliance by appliance, service by service, says manager Richard.

“We specialise in end-of-line models, liquidation stock and scratch-and-dent, as well as brand new appliances,” he says. “We have all the reputable brands that come at a fraction of the price big retailers apply.

“Over the years, we’ve formed fantastic relationships with major suppliers and we’re also the authorised service agents for big brands such as Fisher & Paykel, Beko and Technika.”

The go-ahead business has a large showroom so customers can easily find the appliances they’re after, with hundreds of dollars off new items, while the online store is another way for people to snag a bargain.

Hoppers Crossing, with its mix of long-term residences and continued development of new housing, is a prime spot for this superstore. Whether it’s a family moving into their newly-built dream home that needs a shiny new fridge to match the shiny new kitchen or homeowners who want to put new spark into their cooking, a new TV for the lounge room or dryer for the laundry, Save on Appliances is a genuine superstore.

“It’s the first factory outlet of its kind in Hoppers Crossing,” Richard says. “Apart from our incredible savings, what defines us as a business is our personalised service.

“Our customers who want an appliance repaired won’t face ‘head office paper shuffle’ or being fobbed off. They can interact with and get advice from our service team. That’s becoming rarer and rarer.

“We really focus on creating relationships with our locals.”

The business has two other outlets, one in Sunbury and the other in Ravenhall.

Save on Appliances, 3/327 Old Geelong Road, Hoppers Crossing. Opens 9am-5.30pm Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm Saturdays and 10am-4.30pm Sundays. Inquiries: 8360 9713 or www.saveonappliances.com.au
