IN FOCUS: Central Geelong… service central

Central Geelong has evolved into one of the most vibrant hubs to be found in any Victorian city.

It’s become the heart of the entire region, the precinct for festivals, exhibitions, children’s events, big-name department stores and specialty shops, and a foodie’s paradise.

It’s also established itself as the home of a vast range of professional services – from medical, financial, tertiary education and legal to technical and personal.

Almost 600 professional services have Central Geelong as their address, making the centre easily comparable to Melbourne’s CBD for accessibility, convenience and affordability.

An initiative of the Central Geelong Marketing Committee, “Central Geelong … at your service” aims to promote the great mix of support services available to the metro west community.

It’s so easy to get from Melbourne’s west via train or car and, once there, parking is plentiful and affordable.

There are specialist medical experts, and a full range of services including pathology, radiology and ancillary, all conveniently located close to Central Geelong’s hospitals.

Central Geelong is also becoming an insurances services centre of excellence.

And there is great shopping, cafes and restaurants…all close by in the walkable waterfront city.
