Brumby Floats manufacture, repair and restore custom trailers and horse floats – and have been doing so in Werribee for nearly two decades.
Owner Grant Mirams said he prides himself on offering good service and advice.
“If someone comes here, we want to give them the best customer service … we answer all our customer’s questions so they can make informed decisions,” Mr Mirams said.
“There’s a market for trailers and horse floats here because of Werribee Park. We target the pony clubbers to eventers … people come from all over Victoria for our floats.”
He said that word-of-mouth had been the best method of promotion.
“I’ve been in the industry since 1982, fabricating trailers … because I was around horses, I started building a float for myself and it was sold before I built it.”
Brumby Floats is entering the Wyndham Business Awards for the first time this year.
