Five teenagers aged between 13 and 18 have been arrested and charged after they were allegedly caught driving a stolen vehicle in Truganina on Thursday, January 27.
The car was allegedly stolen from a fitness centre in Brunswick earlier in the evening.
The Police Air Wing was called in and followed the car as it travelled along Hogans Road.
Stop sticks were used on the vehicle in Westmeadows Lane and the car eventually stopped on Sedgefield Avenue.
Five people were arrested after allegedly running from the car.
An 18-year-old from Tarneit has been charged with theft of motor car, reckless conduct, dangerous and other offences.
He will appear at Werribee Magistrates court on Friday.
A 13-year-old boy from Tarneit has been charged with theft of motor car and driving offences and will appear at a children’s court.
A 14-year-old boy from Meadow Heights, a 12-year-old from Meadow Heights and a 16-year-old boy from Yarraville have been charged with theft of motor vehicle and bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.
