Wyndham is a beautiful area with historic buildings, the coastline and waterways, an agriculture precinct and the rural township of Little River – the area has been the location for the filming of major movies, TV series, documentaries, short-films and advertising.
Steeped in history, Werribee was once the home of the Chirnsides – Scottish pastoralists who built the iconic Werribee Mansion. The Werribee Park precinct is today home to manicured parklands, the Victoria State Rose Garden, National Equestrian Centre, Shadowfax Winery and Werribee Open Range Zoo.
The area also boasts the Werribee South foreshore which has spectacular views across the bay, and across to the You Yangs Regional Park providing a postcard backdrop while Wyndham Harbour – ideally located on the Port Phillip coastline has uninterrupted views across to the Melbourne skyline.
The coast and water locations are complemented by the rambling Werribee River that runs through the heart of Werribee.
The iconic K Road Cliffs transport you to another time and place and provide a glimpse of what traditional aboriginal owners experienced when first arriving to the area.
