Fatal crash in Werribee

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal motorcycle crash in Werribee this afternoon.

Investigators believe a motorcycle was travelling along Cottrell Street about 3.45pm.

The rider, believed to be a man in his 20’s, lost control of the bike and crashed into a tree.

Emergency services were called to the crash but the rider died at the scene.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or with dash cam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit www.crimestoppersvic.gov.au

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
