Spring has sprung – and so, too, has spring fashion.

The Wyndham Business and Tourism Association will celebrate both at its Spring Fashion Carnival on October 31 at The Park Hotel.

The event will showcase the latest fashion trends from Tonia T Boutique, Francine’s and the Werribee House of Brides.

Event organiser Tonia Tribe said that while florals and bright colours continued to be de rigueur, other trends were emerging for chic race wear this season.

“It’s hard to go past striking black and white, with a splash of colour for contrast,” she said.

“Cinched waists and fuller skirts are also strong, giving a sort of vintage ’50s feel.”

All proceeds raised from this year’s event will go to Uniting Wyndham. Last year’s event raised more than $3500 for the critical care unit at Werribee Mercy Hospital.

Tickets cost $39 and are available for purchase at Tonia T Boutique.
