It’s official – Fashion Awards Australia is returning to Wyndham.
Awards director Heather Marcus has confirmed that the annual event – which involves budding designers from around the nation and design students from TAFEs, secondary colleges and tertiary campuses displaying their works in a range of categories – would be held at Encore Events Centre in Hoppers Crossing on October 13 this year.
The awards started in Wyndham, but the event has been held at Lakeside Banquet and Convention Centre in Taylors Lakes in recent years due to operating costs.
Fashion Awards Australia will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year.
Ms Marcus said she was “absolutely delighted” to hold this year’s event in the area it originated.
“It will be our most glamourous evening yet,” she said.
Last year, Ballarat Grammar and St Albans Secondary College design students put their best foot forward to contend for the annual John Claringbold Memorial School Cup, with Ballarat Grammar winning by a point.
Ms Marcus said entry forms would be available online in the next month, with tickets for the event to go on sale from August 1.
