It’s almost time to dust off the frocks and straighten out the millinery, with the Werribee Cup just around the corner, online registrations are open now for Fashions on the Field.

Spring racing and fashion go hand-in-hand and with no better excuse to get dressed to the nines, it presents a great opportunity to bring out your beautiful trackside fashion.

Fashions on the Field will also have registrations open on the day from 11.30am to 1pm, with the event kicking off shortly afterwards in front of the grandstand.

Well-known racing personality Casey Bruce will host the glamour event.

Not just for the ladies or grown ups, this year’s competition has six categories and boasts exciting prizes for each.

For the little ones, aged between 5 to 12 years old, there’s a Little Gent and Little Lady of the Day categories. Winners receive a $500 Pacific Werribee gift card.

Open to Wyndham locals only, the Local Lady and Local Gent of the Day winners will each receive a Pacific Werribee Gift Card worth $1000.

Finally, Lady and Gent of the Day is open to anyone in attendance to register and also has a $1000 Pacific Werribee gift card up for grabs.

Werribee Racing Club, General Manager Adam Wilksinson said that organisers have been mindful in keeping Wyndham residents front of mind and the Fashions on the Field is no different.

“We really want to support the locals, so there’s a great section supporting local people with great prizes,” he said.

About 80 people entered fashions on the field last year, and with pre registration available this time around, interest is expected to be strong once again.
