Point Cook television viewers may have spotted some familiar faces on the Aussie Property Flippers program last week.
Residents Darren Maiden and Clare Jameson – along with their children Logan, Sienna, Seren and Brodie – starred in an episode of the Channel 7 show.
The television cameras followed Mr Maiden and Ms Jameson as they bought a house in Fawkner for $299,000.
Across eight weeks, they renovated the house at a cost of $80,000 before selling it for $540,000.
Mr Maiden runs a painting and rendering company, while Ms Jameson is a flight attendant. The couple also run a design and property styling business, called DC Design Melbourne, in Point Cook.
Mr Maiden said before appearing in the television show, they had “flipped” two other houses – one in Adelaide and another in Melbourne.
“The most challenging part of being filmed was the interviews in the extreme freezing Melbourne winter, while tradies are working all around you with power tools and we are trying to stay focused while being questioned,” he said.
Mr Maiden said his children were “very excited” to be on the show.
“They have been telling all their friends at school about how they have helped mum and dad with the ‘property flip’,” he said.
