Audiences have never seen The Three Little
Pigs, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, Goldilocks and Jack and the Beanstalk like this.
The twisted tales are part of the latest stage show adaptation of Roald Dahl’s much-loved children’s book, Revolting Rhymes and Dirty Beasts at Wyndham Cultural Centre this month.
Arts, culture and heritage portfolio holder Tony Hooper said following a huge winter season at the Sydney Opera House, this spectacular live show will bring the work of Roald Dahl to life in Wyndham on Saturday, August 24.
“Taking its cue from the much-loved book, the show re-arranges classic fairytales with some surprising, silly and hilarious twists that will have kids and parents laughing long after the show has finished,” Cr Hooper said.
“It’s fantastic to have a show of this calibre in our own backyard, right in the heart of Werribee City Centre.”
Ticket holders can enjoy a free Roald Dahl-themed scavenger hunt in Werribee library which will include everything from giant peaches and fantastic foxes to big friendly giants to find.
“A great day out for the whole family to enjoy, and you make the most of your visit to Wyndham Cultural Centre and enjoy a drink or some snacks from the bar before the show,” Cr Hooper said.
Tickets are $12 to $15, with 1pm and 6.30pm sessions available. The scavenger hunt runs between 10am to 4pm
