Victoria Police is investigating after a complaint was lodged about the arrest of a teenage boy at Ecoville Park in Tarneit last year.
Police attended the Cindia Crescent park on November 9 in response to reports of a group of teenagers who were allegedly engaging in “aggressive and abusive behaviour”.
A Victoria Police spokesman said that police arrested a 17-year-old boy, who was subsequently charged with refusing to provide a name and address, resisting police and behaving in a riotous manner.
“As the boy was allegedly resisting arrest he chipped his tooth on the ground,” the spokesman said.
“He declined medical treatment.
“Police have received a complaint in relation to the incident and are investigating.”
The spokesman said the investigation was ongoing and it was inappropriate to comment further.
