Police were left wondering if they were seeing double after they caught the same man, a Williams Landing resident, drink driving twice within 11 hours on the weekend.
Police pulled over a ute on the Princes Highway in Colac about 10.40pm on Saturday night.
The 27-year-old driver was breath-tested and blew nearly three times the legal limit at 0.149.
He received an on-the-spot fine for drink driving.
“The Williams Landing man was obviously unaware how long it takes alcohol to leave your system when he got behind the wheel the following morning,” a Victoria Police statement said.
Colac Highway Patrol officers pulled over the same vehicle on Aireys Street in Elliminyt about 9.30am on Sunday.
The driver again was breath-tested and return a reading of 0.056.
Police said the driver could expect to receive another fine for drink driving, along with a loss of licence.
