A contingent of Vietnamese cheesemakers had a wheely good time last week learning the secrets behind making fromage.
The six flew in from Vietnam to take part in a three-day practical cheesemaking course at the GoTAFE Werribee campus.
The group, sponsored by global bioscience company Chr. Hansen, recently built a new cheesemaking facility in Vietnam and needed to develop its skills to produce cheeses for the South-East Asian markets.
Janice Roberts, of GoTAFE, said the group learnt all aspects of cheesemaking, including how to make cheddar and mozzarella, as well as cultured butter.
