Wyndham council are advising motorists that Dohertys Road between Tarneit Road and Derrimut Road will be closed for the next two weeks.
Council said due to recent water inundation the road pavement has been severely damaged in a short section heading west.
A section of the road pavement will require rebuilding.
Drivers have been advised to use Leakes Road as a detour until further notice, in an effort to minimise traffic congestion on Boundary Road.
