A Wyndham Vale woman’s recently adopted dog has been hailed a hero after coming to her rescue last Friday to prevent a home invasion.
Trish Borg answered her front door about 11.30am to two men claiming to be state government employees and asking to see her roof.
After one tried to force his way inside, Rhianna the dog chased both away.
Werribee Crime Investigation Unit’s Detective Senior Constable Alan Hill said the incident was still under investigation.
