Death at Werribee South

A woman has died after she was located in water off Werribee South on Saturday afternoon.

Police said they believe the 62-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man, both from St Albans, were out in a small boat just after 2.45pm when it overturned.

A vessel rescued the man and woman and brought them to shore.

Paramedics attempted to revive the woman, but she died at the scene.

The man was uninjured.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
