Point Cook dancer Dom Roussety will take to the stage next month, in a production which explores human emotions and life.
Roussety will star in a contemporary dance show titled SIGNIFICANCE, from the Geelong-based Attitude Dance Company.
The 29-year-old said he and the other cast members were invited to take part in
SIGNIFICANCE by the company’s director and choreographer Xavier McGettigan.
Roussety said he and his fellow dancers were also able to contribute their own ideas during rehearsals.
“It was a rewarding process, the company is pretty laidback and easygoing,” he said.
“For me, probably the most enjoyable part of the show is when we’re all on stage together
“It’s a way of expressing and telling stories which sometimes you can’t tell in words or other ways,” he said.
SIGNIFICANCE will be staged at Courthouse Youth Arts in Geelong at 8pm on Friday, August 11 and Saturday, August 12. Tickets: $27.12 to $32.34 per person.
It will also be performed at Chapel Off Chapel in Prahran, at 7.30pm on Sunday, August 13. Tickets: $30 full, $25 for a group of 10 people or more (plus transaction fee).
