Kau was charged in relation to intentionally causing injury in July last year.
A warrant has since been issued for the arrest of the 32-year-old.
Kau is known to frequent the Tarneit, Point Cook, Northcote, Docklands and Broadmeadows areas.
He is described as 170cm tall with a medium build, dark complexion and black hair.
