Werribee Ladies for Kids will set up shop again at Pacific Werribee from November 14-24, as members sell their craft works to raise money for the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH).

Located at the Target end of the shopping centre, the stall will have a variety of knitwear suitable for babies and children under five, quilts and other handmade items.

All proceeds from the ladies’ skilful knitting, embroidering and crocheting will help the RCH afford critical equipment.

Judy Clough has been a part of the group for six years and a keen knitter since she was seven years old. She discussed what was most personally rewarding to her about being a member.

“To be able to use my knitting experience to go toward an end product that sells and raises funds,” Ms Clough said.

The work of the auxiliary group not only helps patients at the Royal Children’s Hospital, it also provides its members a meaningful way to keep up their hobby after their children and grandchildren have grown.

Having no specific target in mind, the ladies just hope to raise as much as they can.

While their stall will be open for 10 days, the ladies work throughout the year with regular fundraising initiatives.
