Crafting a friendly chat

Wyndham’s libraries are open, with staff looking forward to welcoming back community members.

Among the programs available at the libraries is Craft and Conversation, which runs on the third Friday of each month at the Tarneit Library from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

Participants can create a new craft item to take home at each session, with free materials provided.

Attendees at the event held on Friday, February 18 made diamond bread bracelets.

Wyndham council’s libraries run programs and events for all age groups, including Rhyme Time in the Park and Baby Time, Junior Chess Club Online, Game On and English Conversation Café.

Library members can access the entire collection, online library, programs, services and events.

The libraries also feature access to free wifi, computers, study areas and lounges.

Wyndham’s learning city portfolio holder, Cr Jasmine Hill, said: “Wyndham libraries also offer a great opportunity for our local students to take advantage of the dedicated study spaces and resources our libraries have on offer.

“For our younger residents starting their learning journey, there is a wide range of resources available to support early literacy and numeracy.

“Librarians are always available to provide assistance to ensure you can find what you are looking for.”

Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required for anyone aged 18 and over wanting to enter a library.

Masks are required for anyone aged eight years old and older.
