Candles, crafts and clothing are just some of the items you can purchase from the 70 stalls featured at the annual Werribee Craft Festival.
After running for more than 40 years, the festival had a two year hiatus during the pandemic but will recommence this year on Friday November 4, and Saturday November 5 at the Encore Events Centre.
“The craft festival attracts craft people from Wyndham and surrounding suburbs who come
to display and sell their quality handmade crafts,” organiser Lesley Nallawalla said.
Ms Nallawalla said the festival is a great place to pick up an early Christmas present and entry to the festival is free of charge for residents.
“We’ve had it suggested to us that we should charge people to come in and we said, ‘no, that’s our way of giving back to the community’,” she said.
“We have 100 showbags to give away this year…we’ve got free activities for the children, as well as roving characters to entertain them.
“We’re giving to the kids in the community.”
This year, organisers have elected to donate funds to the Werribee Country Fire Authority, but have supported Werribee Mercy Hospital’s palliative care garden, Werribee Coastguard, Wyndham Community Education Centre and Werribee ambulance services in the past.
“We’ve done lots of really good stuff,” Ms Nallawalla said.
Free car parking and access to an ATM are also available for attendees.
Residents can browse the stalls between 5-9pm on Friday and 9am-5pm on Saturday.
