Children aged 5 to 11 years old can now be vaccinated against the virus in Victoria.

IPC Health will open a new vaccination hub for this age group, in partnership with Western Health, on Monday, January 17 at the Dianella Community Centre in Tarneit.

The centre will be open 9am-4pm Monday to Wednesday, 12.30-9pm Thursday to Friday and weekends from 9am-4pm.

Bookings can be made through the Victorian Coronavirus Hotline on 1800 675 398 or the Book your vaccine appointment page.

Community members can also get vaccinated at the IPC Health GP Super Clinic at 510 Ballan Road, Wyndham Vale.

For appointments, call IPC’s dedicated line on 7037 2108 (from Monday to Friday, 8.30am–4.30pm) to check your eligibility and to make a booking.

IPC has asked residents to only call this number and not its main phone lines, so that those seeking urgent medical care can be assisted in a timely manner.

If you can’t get through the booking phone number, email covid.vaccinations@ipchealth.com.au

If you do not have a Medicare card, call the Victorian Coronavirus Hotline on 1800 675 398 to make a booking.

The state government is also rolling out 30 pop-up vaccination clinics at primary schools across the state, open to all children aged five to 11.

Clinics are operating at Wyndham Vale Primary School and Tarneit P-9 College.

Premier Daniel Andrews said: “With 30 vaccination centres at schools, more than 35 vaccination centres in the community, plus grants for GPs and pharmacies to deliver more vaccines – we are doing all we can to get jabs into arms young and old.

“Vaccination is the best thing you do to keep your children and family safe – get the kids vaccinated and your third dose at the same time.”
