Notifying Wyndham council about problems such as dumped rubbish and illegally parked cars is about to become a whole lot easier.
Wyndham smart city portfolio holder Aaron An says the council has launched an online app that allows residents to report issues of concern in the municipality.
“The Report an Issue application can be used in four easy steps,” Cr An said.
“Simply add the location of the issue, add some details, add some photos if you have them, and then add your contact details.
“Intended for non-urgent matters like litter, illegal parking and overgrown grass, the application is mobile-friendly and can be used on any Android or Apple device.
“It provides a simpler way of getting council to take action when you spot something that needs to be taken care of.”
Cr An said the online app meant residents would not have to fill out paper forms or spend time on the phone when reporting issues.
“In an age when people can order food and track it all the way to their front door and FaceTime with family and friends on the other side of the world, it only makes sense that you shouldn’t have to go out of your way to get in touch with your local council,” he said.
