Corona reaches 350 cases in Wyndham

Wyndham residents still have the highest number of coronavirus cases in the state.

As of today, Wyndham residents have been diagnosed with 350 active cases of the coronavirus (compared to 340 active cases yesterday).

The municipality of Hume has the second-highest amount of active cases in the state (with 286 active cases, as of today).

Victoria has recorded 275 new cases of coronavirus since yesterday, with the total number of cases now at 5942 across the state.

The overall total has increased by 246, after 29 cases were reclassified – largely due to duplication.

Twenty-eight of the new cases have been linked to outbreaks or complex cases and 247 are under investigation.

One new death has been reported since yesterday, a woman in her eighties. To date, 39 people have died from coronavirus in Victoria.

According to the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), 147 people with the coronavirus are in hospital, including 31 in intensive care.

Across the state, 2933 people have recovered from the virus.

The DHHS is reporting that a total of 173 cases of COVID-19 have been linked to Al-Taqwa College in Truganina.

Twenty-eight cases have been linked to Glendale Aged Care facility in Werribee.
