Community organisations in Wyndham have been given grants by Stockland.

Under the Stockland CARE Grant program, Stockland Point Cook awarded grants worth a total of $10,000 to Friend in Me, Christmas at the Lakes, Kids Under Cover and the Lighthouse Foundation.

Friend in Me hosts inclusive events to help children who might miss out on being invited to, or having, their own birthday parties.

This included a party for William, who has an intellectual disability, when he celebrated his eighth birthday recently.

The $1000 grant that Friend in Me received from Stockland helped to fund William’s birthday event.

Stockland Tarneit Skies also awarded a grant to the Iramoo Community Centre.

Stockland Mt Atkinson awarded grants to Edmund Rice Services – Mt Atkinson, The Victorian Tamil Association Inc, Didi Bahini Samaj Victoria and the Wyndham Spartans Cricket Club.

The Stockland CARE Grants program, now in its eighth year, has distributed over $2 million in funding to more than 2000 community groups across Australia.

Stockland Group sustainability national manager Amy Hogan said: “We’re proud to once again help so many community groups across the country, and to celebrate such a significant milestone for the CARE Grants program, having donated over $2 million since it first launched in 2014.”
