Western United will celebrate winning the A-League Men’s championship and its new A-League women team with the club’s first ever family day at Wyndham Park.
On Sunday, September 18, the club will hold Western United themed football activities and entertainment, from noon until 3pm.
The entire A-League men playing squad and coaching staff will attend with their championship trophy, allowing fans to meet their favourite players.
Some members from the newly formed women’s league will also be in attendance.
As most of the club’s first three seasons were interrupted by COVID-19, the family day will give them the opportunity to enjoy in-person festivities.
Western United said the event is about families coming together to celebrate the west.
Face painting and fun football activities tailored for children will also take place, and food trucks and eateries will line the main street for those wanting an afternoon feed.
Western United will also visit Pacific Werribee Plaza between October 3-9 as part of the clubs trophy tour.
Residents are encouraged to don Green and Black to meet the players and snap pictures with the championship trophy.
