Customer service has reopened at Wyndham council’s Civic Centre in Werribee.
The centre reopened to residents seeking assistance last week, in line with the easing of COVID-19 restrictions.
Mayor Josh Gilligan said the services available were limited to general enquiries and payments, between the hours of 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.
“Our phone and webchat services will still operate seven days a week and we advise you to continue to use this service if you need to speak to a specific department, for example town planning,” Cr Gilligan said.
He said visitors to the civic centre would be greeted by a concierge, who will take everyone’s details and ensure social distancing and good hygiene practices are followed.
“We ask residents to remain patient if they are asked to queue outside the building because we are limiting numbers to 20 people in the foyer at any one time due to social distancing measures,” Cr Gilligan said.
Wyndham council’s customer service is available on the telephone from 8am to 7pm, Monday to Friday and 9am to 4pm, Saturday to Sunday.
