CFA’s Christmas tree fundraiser

The Wyndham Vale Fire Brigade will be selling Christmas trees to raise money for new equipment.

Captain Trevor Weston said this would be the 11th year the brigade participated in the fundraising activity.

“All funds raised through this activity help purchase vital equipment, support members to undertake training and other essential activities,” Mr Weston said.

“The Wyndham Vale CFA are currently in the planning stages of constructing a new purpose-built fire station. As we transition into this new station, these funds will be even more important in contributing to construction and fit-out costs.”

Mr Weston said the brigade is “appreciative” of the “great support” shown by the community.

“We are 100 per cent volunteer so every tree or stand we sell goes a long way to helping us better serve the community,” Mr Weston said.

“The community can get involved by coming down to the station, say hi and buy a tree, pre-order online, or share our social media post.”

The trees will be available for purchase on the weekends of November 26 and 27, December 3 and 4 and December 10 and 11.

Ranging from 5-8ft tall, the trees are cut fresh every weekend and will not be replaced once sold out.
