Live music, enchanting art exhibitions and all encompassing circus performances will be the main attractions of the Seaworks’ Winter Solstice Festival on Friday, June 21.
Seaworks chief executive Glenn Jones said he was excited to show off all of the local talents Seaworks and Williamstown have to offer.
“It brings people into Williamstown and into Hobsons Bay from outside of the region as well. So people will actually get a taste of things that actually happen in in this area and hopefully that intend to return as well,” he said.
“And it’s not just for this event. It’s virtually every event that we do we, we try and source our suppliers locally.”
Festival-goers will experience the unusual as they observe traditional wooden boats which highlights the craftsmanship from the area, all whilst being in the presence of giant puppets.
The juxtaposition of the entertainment available will enable attendees to celebrate the maritime heritage that is immersed in the local community all whilst keeping the kids entertained and fed with a wide variety of food and drinks available at the venue.
Mr Jones said to expect a night of celebration.
“It is a mixed bag celebration of everything, that our community at sea works brings to the local community.”
The Winter Solstice Festival is a free event which is open to all ages.
It’s on from 5-10pm at Seaworks, Williamstown.
