The Werribee River Association will commemorate a milestone with the launch of a history book.

40 Years of Waterways Protection 1981-2021 will highlight the many people that have cared for the Werribee River.

The book was researched and written by the WRA’s manager Lisa Field, and features editorial support from Werribee riverkeeper John Forrester and former committee member Heather Noble.

The launch will be hosted at the Werribee City Centre on Saturday, August 6 after 40th anniversary celebrations were halted due to the lockdown.

Former committee members, current members and river activists are encouraged to contact the association to participate in the upcoming launch.
