Point Cook’s Charlize, 6, is looking forward to Australia Day this weekend.

On Saturday, there will be several activities in Wyndham to celebrate the day, including fireworks, live music and food trucks. Wyndham tourism and major events portfolio holder Cr John Gibbons said the event would be held in Watton Street, Werribee from 5-10pm.

“This year’s headline act is guaranteed to get the crowds dancing, with 100 per cent Kylie, a tribute to Australia’s very own Kylie Minogue set to take to the stage,” Cr Gibbons said.

At 5.30pm, the film Babe will be shown on the big screen in Station Place.

“This family-friendly event will also feature rides and kids’ activities, plus a special addition, the Makers Market hosted by the Wyndham Business and Tourism Association, featuring a variety of handmade artisan products for sale,” Cr Gibbons said.
