Wyndham council has addressed the issue of rubbish dumping near the clothing bins at Manor Lakes Community Centre by installing CCTV cameras.
Mayor Peter Maynard said on Facebook that he hopes the changes will produce positive results going forward.
“I’m happy to report that Council has organised for the responsible company to install a CCTV camera to address this issue, I drove past there the other day and noticed the camera has already been installed,” Cr Maynard said in a social media post.
“This will allow evidence to be reported to Council and for us to investigate any ongoing issues.”
Cr Maynard said he is aware clothing bins can often result in people dumping rubbish nearby and council will step in when possible.
