UPDATE

A 49-year-old man could face charges after losing control of his car and crashing into the side of a Wyndham Vale house.

Werribee police’s First Constable Jenna Sladek said road and weather conditions contributed to the incident at the roundabout at Greens and Ballan roads about 5.30pm last Thursday.

“There was one person at home at the time of the incident, but nobody was hurt,” she said.

“The driver was taken to hospital for observation, but he’s fine too.”

First Constable Sladek said investigations were continuing, but it was likely the driver would face charges.

With winter approaching, she warned drivers to pay extra care on the roads.

“With just a little bit of rain, roads are a lot more slippery.”

Wyndham Vale CFA captain Trevor Weston said the car crashed into a bedroom wall but there did not seem to be much structural damage.

“We had a building surveyor come down and we removed the car,” he said.

“There isn’t too much damage, but the house may need a bit of brickwork.”
