Charity organisation Mission Australia is calling on young people aged 15 to 19 years of age, including those from Wyndham, to have their say in their 22nd annual youth survey.
Following on from last year’s survey which found that five per cent of the 5097 respondents and their families could not afford bills or car expenses in the last year and 5.5 per cent sought financial help from family, friends or charity, this year’s survey will provide a snapshot of what young people think and feel.
Mission Australia Victorian state director Nada Nasser said the survey is a platform for young people to express their concerns, aspirations and experiences and amplify their voices to instigate change.
“Young people can experience significant challenges, like housing insecurity and mental health concerns,” she said.
The survey results will be published in November and shared with government and non-government organisations and the general public.
The survey will close in August.
