Point Cook baker Colleen Brabender is abuzz with excitement about the prospect of raising funds for a worthwhile cause.

Ms Brabender, who started her business Busy Bee Cakes and Cupcakes in 2016, has launched a 2019 calendar featuring photos of her baked goods.

She will donate 50 per cent of profits from the calendar to the Alannah and Madeline Foundation, which supports children who have experienced or witnessed violence, works to bullying and cyber-bullying and advocates for children’s safety issues.

Ms Brabender said she had decided to release the inaugural Busy Bees calendar after receiving several requests for one, from her customers and social media followers.

“I’m really excited by this opportunity to share my passion with the community through the sale of our 2019 Busy Bee calendars, and just as pleased that we will also donate some of our profits to charity,” she said.

The 2019 Busy Bee calendars will be available online, for $10 each, until October 31 at www.pozible.com/project/busy-bee-calendars, or see www.facebook.com/busybeecakesandcupcakes for details.
