Brook grants for community

The Brook Point Cook will give more than $100,000 in support to community initiatives including an indigenous school garden and sports projects.

This year’s program includes $60,000 in cash grants and $52,310 of in-kind support.

As part of the venue’s 2017 program, Featherbrook Primary School will receive $5000 to create an indigenous garden.

The Western Region Umpires Association will get $5000 to help train umpires for new women’s clubs in the west.

Point Cook College will receive $5000 to help start a breakfast club and free cooking classes for parents.

The Laverton Football Club will be given $5000 to help buy equipment for families who cannot afford it.
