Senen, Cooper and Ella have been on a roll at Werribee Bowls Club. The grade 5 pupils from Christ the Priest Catholic Primary School in Caroline Springs were among those who enjoyed taking part in the School Sport Victoria annual regional lawn bowls final. Werribee Bowls Club Summer Fun Bowls co-ordinator Rhonda Edwards said the club hoped to involve Wyndham schools in next year’s event. “We are looking to engage with local schools to have our students undertake some basic coaching,” she said. “It’s not all about winning – lawn bowls is a non-contact sport suitable for all ages, abilities and cultures.
