Two days full of fun will be on offer at the Victoria State Rose Garden in Werribee South next month.

The annual State Rose & Garden Show will be held on the weekend of November 9 and 10, from 10am to 4pm each day.

The event will give visitors a chance to see more than 5000 roses growing at the gardens and will include plant care demonstrations, guided tours, pop-up nursery stalls with plants, tools, pots and homewares, live music and food trucks.

Well-known gardening experts Kim Syrus, Jane Edmanson, Anthony Scott and Vasili Kanidiadis will be on hand to give advice.

This year will include a new feature, a pop-up garden with craft beers and ciders provided by Kombi Keg, wine and Roseade spritzers provided by Chirping Bird Wines and food by Bluebonnet Barbecue on November 9.

On November 10, a high tea will be held with the Prosecco Van and Mrs Baker’s Gin.

There will also be a mini-posy making workshop and kids activities, including a sandpit and garden craft, with magic wand and pot plant decoration.

Entry to the State Rose and Garden Show is free, with a gold coin donation welcome to support the work of the volunteers who maintain the garden.

Two High Tea package experiences are available for pre-purchase, ‘Little Pleasures’ and ‘Afternoon Delight’ with prices starting from $30. Bookings are limited.
