Australia Day in Point Cook

Point Cook will be the home of this year’s Australia Day in Wyndham on Monday 26 January, and all are welcome to celebrate the occasion.

Hosted by Wyndham council at Dunnings Road Reserve, the free event will include live entertainment, sport activities, performances and fun things to do for kids.

This year’s stage program will feature the Australian Crawl Tribute Band and the Big City Beat Band, performing beloved Australian classics and crowd favourites.

Interactive performances from Woody’s World and high energy rhythms and soul and funk with Afro-Fusion presented by Music Valley will complete the line up.

In addition to the on-stage performances, families can enjoy a range of community sports activities with local clubs and roving performers including Gemma Giraffe, Kara Koala, Dr Hubble’s giant bubbles, Corey Craze’s circus tricks and the Garden Party.

On the lawn, there will be free craft and play zones for kids to enjoy, with free activities including nature crafts, giant outdoor games and face painting on offer.

The Australia Day in Wyndham program includes the presentation of the 2026 Wyndham Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year Awards.

Both citizen and young citizen of the year will be named throughout the event, marking a celebration of community service in the area.

Attendees can also enjoy a variety of food options with onsite food trucks or walk across to the nearby Point Cook Town Centre.

The federal government helps fund the event through the National Australia Day Council.
